Our Story

In 2008, Mahendra Vyas founded Chanakya Foundation with a simple yet powerful belief – education should be a right, not a privilege. What started as a small initiative to support Brahmin students in pursuing their education soon grew into a larger mission of empowerment. Recognizing that financial constraints should never stand in the way of learning, the foundation expanded its reach to students from all communities and later extended its support to food donation, healthcare assistance, and skill-building programs.

To make this vision sustainable, we introduced the Chanakya Magic Box, a unique initiative that encouraged people to save ₹1 a day for donations. Through this simple yet impactful method, we raised ₹3 lakh in just a couple of years, proving that small contributions can create big changes.

Over the years, we have fully funded education for 80+ students, ensuring that they have the resources they need to achieve their dreams. But our work doesn’t stop at education. We believe in holistic upliftment, which is why we also provide nutritious meals to families in need and medical aid to those who cannot afford treatment.

Vision

A world where every child has access to education, no one sleeps hungry, and healthcare is accessible to all. We envision a future where financial limitations no longer determine a child’s opportunities, where education becomes a stepping stone for success, and where individuals who receive help today become donors of tomorrow.

Mission

To empower underprivileged individuals through education, food aid, and medical support, breaking financial barriers to create equal opportunities. Our goal for the next five years is to raise ₹5 crore, conduct 100+ skill-building workshops, and expand our reach across multiple communities.

Purpose

To foster a self-sustaining cycle of giving, where those who receive help can later contribute to others. With over 80+ students already supported, we continue to ensure that every rupee donated creates a ripple effect of change, impacting thousands of lives.
